| It’s A B*tch! | Joshua Liew | Short Synopsis A girl in an attempt to get over heart break, gets progressively more drunk with her friend and they decide to set a curse in motion. It spirals further than either of them intended. It’s dark and raw – a story about friendship, heartache, and the power of karma. Long Synopsis Billie comes home devastated. Her best friend Lexy offers to drink through whatever she’s going through. Throughout the night, the girls get more and more drunk, using alcohol to to get through Billie’s sadness. Billie eventually reveals that her ex-boyfriend has broken up with her, the real reason for her sorrow. Lexy, the spiritual one, offers a solution. Curse him. They look through curses he could suffer from and, in a drunken haze, decide on the unthinkable — to kill him via a curse. They go through with it and fall asleep. When Billie wakes up, she can’t remember what they did the night before. Hungover and confused, she receives a phone call from her ex-boyfriend’s mum, telling her that Sebastian is dead. Memory floods back. What Billie does next will determine whether she is setting karma in motion, or deepening her own negative karmic debt. |
